Gentlemen, you are performing a service that is like a breath of fresh air.  If continuing editions are anything like the first, and I would never doubt they would deviate, then I believe your reader base will grow exponentially.  As I read these articles, I found myself back in the corners of the memory cache of many years ago.  Bud's tales of the fishing trips with his father brought back the days of my own beginnings in the pursuit of our piscatorial friends.  Roger's captivation with the little 410 mirrowed the old double hammered 16 gauge shotgun given to me by my turn of the century city marshall grandfather.  And Flats encounter with the big red brings to mind recent forays with another generation of family fishermen on the Texas Coast.

I hope you don't mind my posting your site in TFR and BDFF forums.  Both of you have many friends among these groups, and I know they will enjoy this as much as I.  Perhaps the younger will not find it as exciting as computer games and such, but for those like me, we can take a trip down the memory lane with side jaunts into the present.

Thanks again.  Gordon

Thanks, Gordon! Your kind words let us know we're on the right track. It's a tough row to plow, but we hope to plow it well.

Another issue should be up sometime in February. Keep checking in!

Merci Beaucoup for an awesome site and great reads!!!  It's refreshing to find a place that encourages the talents of those who are skilled with the written word.  The stories certainly bring forth the mystical and spiritual benefits of our great outdoors.

Job well done.

John

Thanks John! I certainly enjoyed co-hosting the radio show this morning and thanks for letting me get in a few shameless plugs for Farandaway!

Roger, the March issue is fantastic.  I've thoroughly enjoyed each of the previous ones, but you continue to improve with each month.  I really appreciate the Warm Fly site of Larry Offner, and look forward to savoring each section of it.  I could smell the smoke and bar-b-que aromas Gary described and they bring back pleasant memories of times goine by that were similar for me.

The photos and layouts are super.  I know this must take a lot of your time, but it is greatly appreciated.

Well guys, I keep thinking you might not make the next issue as great as this one, but you've outdone yourself again.  As I mentioned in the Warm Fly forum, I believe the issues are like old dogs and watermelon wine, they just keep getting better with age.  Gary's letter brought back memories of four years ago when I bult my grandsons their first fly rods, and then of the first time they fished them with me.  And Bogie and Miss Daisy remind me of so many fine four legged friends I've known, and that are now a fond memory in the backwaters of my mind.  My thanks to you all, every story and poem was great reading.
